Liverpool News And Transfers Juventus Confirm Mario Balotelli Interest Ahead Of 14million Move
Here”s all the latest Reds stories from today”s Daily Mirror…
Liverpool ready for top four challenge, says Rodgers
Brendan Rodgers is convinced Liverpool are in recovery mode – and ready to crank up their top-four challenge.
The evidence is positive. One defeat in 13 games since November when they suffered that terrible run of four losses in a row.
Back then Rodgers was under pressure, but a crumbling season is gradually being turned around.
Five wins in seven games in all competitions, with this victory lacking only a few more goals that their superiority deserved.
Returning today, “mentally and physically” revitalised after a holiday in Jamaica is Raheem Sterling.

Lambert to leave when Origi arrives?
Liverpool are waiting for Lille to find a replacement for on-loan striker Divock Origi – and that could set in motion a chain of events that sees Rickie Lambert leave the club for West Brom.
The Reds have agreed to pay the French Ligue 1 side a £3million fee to ensure that the teenage Belgium international – who they bought from Lille for £10m in July and loaned back again for the current season – is returned to Anfield early.
But Lille are stalling on his release while they search for a replacement for the highly-rated 19-year-old.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he has no intention of selling Lambert during the current transfer window.

Cheap Neto option
Brendan Rodgers will have to pay £2million to snatch Fiorentina keeper Norberto Neto in January.
Juventus believe they have a verbal agreement to sign the 25-year-old Brazilian on a free in the summer when his contract expires.
But Fiorentina may cut their losses and sell now.
Mirror Sport revealed last week that Neto was on Liverpool’s wish list as they look for competition for Simon Mignolet and Brad Jones – but they are being quoted a big price as they look to strengthen their keeper department.

Assaidi on the out
Liverpool are on the brink of selling winger Oussama Assaidi to Dubai-based Al-Ahli for £4.7million.
The 26-year-old winger”s season-long loan spell at Stoke City has been terminated so he can make a permanent move to the Middle East, report the Liverpool Echo.
The deal represents remarkable business for the Reds, who only paid Dutch club Heerenveen £2.4million for the Morocco international in the summer of 2012.
Assaidi never looked like establishing himself at Anfield as he made just six starts and six substitute appearances during his first season at the club.

Juve confirm Balotelli interest
Juventus have confirmed that they want to sign Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, despite his dreadful league form in England, report The Times.
it has been reported that a £14million move could be completed, although Balotelli could move on a loan basis at first.
The Times quote manager Massimiliano Allegri as saying: "We would like to recruit him, but we do not know if it is possible.
"Mario had a good season with me (at AC Milan).
"Unfortunately he”s built up a character outside of the world of football and everyone talks about what he does off the pitch.
"All coaches love to lead the best players."
But Juve general manager Giuseppe Marotta declared: "Balotelli is not the player we are willing to buy, we will go forward with this group, Balotelli is not what we are seeking."
Balo out to create funds?
Francois NelWanted man: Higuain is reportedly a target of Liverpool
The suggested move above could benefit Liverpool, who might sell Mario Balotelli in order to create the funds for Sergio Romero and Gonzalo Higuain moves, according to the Express.
The Reds are after both a goalkeeper and striker in the January transfer window – and summer flop Balotelli could be given the axe in order to secure the new signings.
Argentinian goalkeeper Romero is expected to leave Sampdoria in the near future, while Higuain”s future at Napoli has been thrown in doubt after the Serie A club signed Manolo Gabbiadini last week.
Suso signs for AC Milan
Liverpool youngster Suso is set to complete his permanent move to AC Milan on a four-year contract, according to Sky Sports.
The 21-year-old reportedly completed his medical at the San Siro yesterday, but reports elsewhere suggest that the switch might not be completed until July.
But Suso is looking forward to the challenge, and said: “I am very happy to be coming to Milan.
“I haven’t spoken to coach Inzaghi yet. I came here for the medical and hope it all went well. Do I have a message for the Milan fans? I am not here for long then we’ll see when I am able to play.”
