Golden Globe Nominations 2015 RECAP Latest updates and reaction on the 72nd annual awards

It is, as hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler pointed out, the one night in the year when "the beautiful people of film rub shoulders with the rat-faced people of television."

Think the Oscars meet the Emmys and then give them a sense of humour and that”s basically the Golden Globes.

There are 25 award categories with 14 for films and 11 for television and the nominations will soon be announced.

Last year saw Breaking Bad dominate the television nominations after its final season aired back in 2013, and Brit director Steve McQueen landed the coveted Best Film award for harrowing drama 12 Years A Slave.

The Golden Globes ceremony will take place on Sunday 11 January 2015.
