Coronation Street”s big “80s wedding was just the ticket for ITV as it pulled in a massive 7.58 million viewers for its first episode at 7:30pm on Friday night.

The flamboyant wedding of Beth Tinker and Kirk Sutherland made Corrie the night”s most-watched soap, with a further 7.4 million tuning in for the wedding celebrations in the 8:30pm instalment.

EastEnders attracted 7.04pm at 8pm on BBC One, and Yorkshire-set Emmerdale had 6.48 million at 7pm.

In primetime, Benidorm continued its ratings lead over BBC One”s The Musketeers in the 9pm hour.

Channel 5Ken is up for eviction on CBB 

The sunny comedy was watched by 4.82 million viewers in its second episode of the series. The Musketeers, meanwhile, retained its entire audience from last week with 3.64 million.

The live shock twist on Celebrity Big Brother, meanwhile, was watched by 2.31 million viewers.

Last night”s episode saw all of the housemates take part in live face-to-face nominations.

Corrie star Ken Morley received the most votes and will now face the first public vote along with Chloe Goodman and Alexander O”Neal.
