If this hilarious footage is anything to go by, these schoolchildren have been struck down by a severe case of darts fever – something their poor teacher can vouch for.

The UK and Ireland has been gripped by the entertaining PDC World Championship, which came to a thrilling close at London”s Alexandra Palace last night.

And it was to blame when the teacher in this clip had her class disrupted by a group of cheeky chaps who managed to coerce her into saying "180".

Nanuel Meuer / You TubeMagic darts: The kids erupt when their teacher says “180”

When one boy asks her what is half of 360, she duly obliges.

And the rest of the class – believed to be from a Dublin school – then leap to their feet and launch into the familiar darts reaction, with lots of chanting and singing.

The rest of the class erupt into laughter.

Check out some of the best fancy dress outfits at the darts:

Made famous by Tony Green on 1980s game show Bullseye, "one hundred and eighty" was heard at the PDC World Championship, won by Gary Anderson last night.

While it is not clear when the clip was filmed, it was uploaded to YouTube three days ago while Irish schools were still on Christmas holidays.

But it”s sure to give you a Monday morning giggle nonetheless.
