Andy Murray was never in any danger as he marched into the third round of the Australian Open with a comfortable victory over “Mad Dog” Marinko Matosevic in Melbourne.

The British No.1 cruised home in 102 minutes, winning 6-1 6-3 6-2 against the world No.81.

It extended Murray”s unblemished record against Australian opponents, as he made it a perfect 10 against opponents from Down Under.

"I started the match extremely well and Marinko was a bit slow in the beginning," Murray said.

"He improved as the match went on and the second and third sets were tighter. It was a good match."

Murray will now face world No.55 Joao Sousa in the third round.
