Benedict Cumberbatch Cosies Up To New Fiancee Sophie Hunter On The Red Carpet At Film Festival
It doesn”t take Sherlock Holmes to work out that Benedict Cumberbatch is smitten with his bride-to-be Sophie Hunter.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies star took his fiancée to the red carpet ceremony of the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Benedict, 38, was there to collect an award for his portrayal of Second World War codebreaker Alan Turing in the movie Imitation Game.
The war hero developed code-breaking computers to defeat the Nazis but was prosecuted and chemically castrated for his sexuality.

Benedict looked dapper in black suit and tie and thespian partner Sophie wore a long multi-coloured dress.
Celeb website Popsugar said Benedict told them he wasn”t in a rush to get married and was quoted as saying, "One thing at a time."
He said: "I”m playing Sherlock now – just about to start – so my main focus is going to be on that."
Accepting the award on behalf of himself and co-stars, he said: "I”ve been chosen to speak, which is alarming."
The actor shattered the hopes of female fans everywhere by announcing he is set to marry the 36-year-old Oxford graduate with a small notice in the Forthcoming Marriages section of The Times newspaper in November.

It was also recently announced that Benedict will be starring in a Sherlock Christmas this year with his pal and co-star Martin Freeman.
Even though the actor is now a huge Hollywood name, and has gone on to star in blockbusters such as Star Trek Darkness Falls and The Imitation Game,he has no intention of giving up his role as the iconic detective.
Talking to Vogue magazine, he said: "If we can keep the quality up, I can”t imagine that I will ever get tired of being Sherlock. I”d love to play him as an old man.
"I really, really love my job. I love sets. I love crews. I love theatres. I love audiences."
